One day, we were at a Ren Faire and needed some gear. So we went to leather shops. There was cheap stuff that wasn’t very good. And there was good stuff that wasn’t cheap. We figured that leather work wasn’t too difficult so we would make our own stuff.
Boy, were we wrong! I mean, we were right. You can certainly make your own stuff. Go find your favorite YouTube creator to teach you, buy some leather, and some tools and get to it.
But there’s way more to it than that. Technique takes time (we are still practicing and learning). Finding good value priced leather and hardware takes time and exposure.
Fast forward two years. Lots of people are asking where we got our hats, bags, and sundries. When we said “we made them” people say “you should sell them!” So that’s what we are trying.
There is a variety of stuff for sale. And there are (will be?) some blog posts about things we’ve made that are not necessarily for sale. We are just two people (plus kids and grandkids) who like to make leather products. Kim does most of the ‘pretty’ and ‘fun’ stuff. George does the more utilitarian goods (and runs the website).
If you see something you like and want to commission a good, contact us and we can work with you. That includes goods from most of the pattern vendors including (but not limited to) Dieselpunkro, Treehouse Leathers, Vasile and Pavel, and Creative Awl. If a pattern is available and it’s licensed in a way to let us sell goods made from it, we’d be happy to discuss. Same thing if you see something in our shop and want different leather, different hardware, or some modifications.
George
George is the ‘G’. Formally a member of the Brute Squad, brought kicking and screaming by virtue of his cheapness into leather working. When not making your utilitarian bags and hats, keeping the shop tools in good shape, and driving to faires, he works in computers. (Notably not WordPress.)

Kimmie
The ‘K’ in ‘K and G’. Nurse by day (yay, no more night shifts!) leatherworker by night. If it’s pretty, unique, decorative, Kimmie probably made it.
